Festivals abroad listed times. Israel has a citizenship threat and no public timetable. That gap is not an accident.
San Sebastián printed four Perlak sessions. Film at Lincoln Center printed two NYFF times. IFC Center printed a New York opening. Those pages can be opened twice. That is why they are on /showings. A showing we cannot verify stays off the ledger.
Israel is the audience Abraham named, and Israel is the place without a hall on a URL we can check. That is not a small omission. It is the regional fact this desk will keep repeating until a cinema or a cinematheque publishes a date. The official campaign after Venice — treason language, a citizenship threat, a mural, a protest at a family home — is the climate in which a programmer decides whether to print a time.
We will not invent a Tel Aviv screening to make the map look complete. We will not republish an unverified Facebook event. If you want a screening in Israel, demand one from a venue that can put times on its own site. Then send that URL through the submit form. Two independent pages. That is the rule for Donostia and it is the rule for Dizengoff.
The other regional story is already in the film. AFP’s 10 September dispatch, carried by France 24, is the production record we keep: nearly three years of interviews; 24 Israeli military or intelligence voices, on camera in Tel Aviv, identities protected; Abraham tying mass surveillance of Gaza’s telecoms to mass killing. Szor, in the same dispatch, notes how few Israeli mainstream desks asked those questions. Those are their sentences. They are the argument about the region. A minister’s post is a reaction to that argument, not a substitute for it.
If you only read the citizenship headlines, you will think the story is two passports. If you watch the film, the story is a system they say sits behind expected civilian deaths — the slang that became the title. This desk will keep both files open. It will not let the passport file close the hall file.
