Israel backs rival ‘NAZA’ film to discredit award-winning Gaza war documentary
This page is our briefing, not a reprint of the Arab News report. We logged the item because it sits in the public record around Yuval Abraham, Rachel Szor, and NAZA.
Context already on this site: NAZA, directed by Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor, premiered in Venice’s 2026 main competition, drew a record standing ovation, and was followed by ministerial attacks, a citizenship-revocation threat, and solidarity letters.

Summary of the article
On Oct 9, 2026, Arab News published: Israel backs rival ‘NAZA’ film to discredit award-winning Gaza war documentary. That is the item we summarise on this page — not a reprint of their article.
Our perspective
If Arab News is arguing the film, argue the film. Do not launder that into a campaign against the two directors. This desk is with Abraham and Szor. This unofficial page exists so “rival ‘NAZA’ film to discredit award-winning” is not the last word. Abraham and Szor get the last word by being watched.
Unofficial. We support Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor. We do not reprint the outlet and we do not invent a donation page.
